TECHNICAL TOURS

 

PVSEC-21 is please to welcome you to Technical Tours where we visit two interesting sites near Fukuoka just after the Conference. The participation fee is ¥1,000 per each tour and shall be paid at the Tour Desk during the Conference.

If you would like to join the tours, please let us know of your application to PVSEC-21 Registration Office (pvsec21-reg@ics-inc.co.jp) by Wednesday, November 16, 2011, with the following information in response to this email:

*Application will close when the number of applicants reaches the maximum capacity of each tour. You can choose to attend both tours, but the Secretariat may ask you for your courtesy to choose one tour in such occasion.

 

Tour 1: AIST Kyushu Center

Reliability of PV modules is tested at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) Kyushu Center, located at Tosu City, Saga Prefecture. Modules with high reliability are fabricated using newly developed materials. Outdoor test of commercial PV modules is also carried out. Apparatuses for fabrication, test and characterization of PV modules and outdoor test site will be guided.

 

 

Tour 2: Mega-Solar System at Omuta City

(JPY 1,000 – 1,500)

3 MW PV system constructed by Kyushu Electric Power Co. was operated from November 2010 in Omuta City, Fukuoka Prefecture. 3.2 million kWh of electricity was generated per year. Effect of CO2 reduction reached 1200 ton.

 

 

You will receive further notices from the PVSEC-21 Secretariat Office no later than November 18, 2011 once your application is received at the Secretariat.

Do contact the Secretariat Office a.s.a.p. as the applications to the tours will be accepted on “first-come-first-served” basis and will be closed when the application reaches the maximum number of seats available.
