It is my great pleasure to invite you to the 21st International Photovoltaic Science and Engineering Conference (PVSEC-21) that will be held at Pacifico Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan from November 28th to December 2nd, 2011.
The global photovoltaic (PV) product is increasing exponentially in recent years, and the total installation amount has exceeded 13GW in 2008. This means that we are now entering the PV era and the PV will surely play an important role of the infrastructure energy sources in near future. In order to continue with these rates of progress, we have to make even greater efforts in the fundamental and applied subjects of scientific and engineering fields in PV developments.
I sincerely ask you to attend PVSEC-21 and contribute to the progress of PV through the exchange of your latest fruits with the international competition and cooperation.
Yokohama is located very close to Tokyo and easily accessible by many public transportation systems from Tokyo and also from Tokyo International Airport at NARITA. Yokohama offers rich cultural experiences and convenient city tours with beautiful harbor scenery. I am convinced that Yokohama is one of the most attractive and unforgettable conference venues.
